THE EMERALD TEAR This is the story of the Ward family parents, Oliver Ward and Persephone, Percy, Blake. In the 70’s Oliver Ward is in Ecuador with a group and they are digging up a village. Some of the things they find and especially the location make no sense to Oliver. One day he sees someone watching the digging site and soon they are raided. Persephone is on the search of a treasure and the team digging at the site she wants to check out is not helping. Also the attractive Oliver is a distraction that she neither needs nor can afford. And of course we have to battle for a treasure. The question is where will it end up and in who’s hands. In general I prefer longer stories where the romance and action can unfold, but this story was anyway great. The chemistry of the two main characters had been off the charts and the action had been captivating and fast paced. Perfect arch to the current time books. Also the peek at the early beginnings of Silk Road had been great. What warmed my heart had been the picture that Percy kept, showing her true wish versus her harsh reality. What you think your dream is and work hard to let it come true might not be what you need in truth. I love this series! THE EMERALD BUTTERFLY The second story is about two characters that had already met and not in the most perfect way, Sloan handcuffed Diego and now she needs his help in order to find a treasure in a race against time and again our archenemy Silk Road. We have two strong characters, one is pulled away from his peaceful vacation and the other wants to fulfill someone else’s dream. Sparks fly between these two while they dive in search for the shipwreck.

Series: Treasure Hunter Security #7 THE EMERALD TEAR 5 Stars It's the 1970's and archeologist Oliver Ward is in Ecuador digging up what he believes to be a small village, so he's shocked when armed men raid the dig. Then things get really unexpected when the famous -- or maybe infamous -- treasure hunter Persephone Blake shows up. She's after the legendary Emerald Tear and even though she thinks Oliver is just a pampered professor, she agrees to team up with him. To say these two set off fireworks with each other is an understatement and their chemistry is a big factor in my rating. From the first moment they meet, Oliver and Percy have this delicious tension that kept me turning pages. And that waterfall scene? Oh my! Of course the action was spectacular as always; Anna Hackett knows her adventure and I felt like I was reading something out of an Indiana Jones movie but a whole lot steamier! It was great to go back in time and see how the predecessors to the Treasure Hunter Security business met and to see an early reference of the evil Silk Road organization. Percy and Oliver have a whirlwind jungle romance and though Percy, who is slow to trust, puts up some resistance she can't stay away from Oliver. -------------------- THE EMERALD BUTTERFLY 4 Stars Though the Inca's Emerald Tear was found by Oliver and Percy the companion Emerald Butterfly was lost long ago after being stolen by the Spaniards. DEA agent Sloan McBride is determined to find the Butterfly before her beloved grandfather dies of cancer and to accomplish that she needs the help of Diego Torres. But the last time Sloan and Diego met, she boarded his boat and handcuffed him so she figures he's not going to want to help her. Just like the previous story, we have two characters who butt heads and thrive on tension and attraction. Though I really enjoyed these two together I wanted some more time for them to get to know each other. With all the action and running for their lives, I felt like Diego and Sloan needed just a bit more to fully realize their feelings. As an added bonus we got a quick peek at Treasure Hunter Security's computer expert, Darcy Ward and Agent Arrogant and Annoying. I've been dying for their story so I loved this quick look and now I can't wait for the next and final installment for THS!

Unidentified has two Treasure Hunter Security novellas in one book. Both stories are romantic adventures of finding a lost Incan Emerald. The first one was my favorite. It's called The Emerald Tear; and you get to read how Darcy, Declan, and Cal's parents meet. Oliver is an archaeologist; and Persephone is a treasure hunter. They team up to search for the Emerald Tear and fall in love while looking for it. They have quite an adventure trying to stay alive while they're at it, since some really bad people are after the emerald also. I couldn't help but think of Indiana Jones as I read this; so if you love Indiana Jones, then you'll love this story. The second novella was The Emerald Butterfly. Sloan is friends with Darcy. Her grandfather worked with Darcy's dad, Oliver (hero of the first story) and has been looking for the second Incan emerald, The Emerald Butterfly, for decades. She wants to find it so her grandfather can hold it before he dies. So she teams up with Diego, a former navy seal who owns a ship, to look for it. The stories say that the Emerald Butterfly was taken by the Spanish and lost in a shipwreck on it's way to Spain; so this adventure includes underwater diving to look for the wreck and the treasure. And of course they are not the only ones looking for the Emerald. Silk Road makes an appearance in this one trying to get the emerald also. If you've read any of the other Treasure Hunter Security novels then you know Silk Road is bad news. In addition, we also get to see a bit of what's going on with Darcy and her FBI agent. And after reading this book, I can't wait to read their story. Overall, I recommend reading these short novella's that are filled with romantic adventure. I was given an ARC of this book, but am voluntarily giving my honest review.

The Emerald Tear We are back in the 70's and get to see Oliver Ward meet Persephone "Percy", the Professor and the Treasure Hunter, who go on to become, Dec, Cal and Darcy's parents! Can a sexy historian tame the wild and fiery tomb robber? Set in Ecuador and with no modern day tech the action is old school and action led. The Emerald Butterfly Diego had a rocky introduction to the lovely but career driven Sloan. He gets sideswiped by Darcy into taking on a job whilst he should be on holiday. She conveniently forgot to tell him that his new client was Sloan! They both feel the attraction but neither seem ready to cross the line. But with just the 2 of them on the boat who knows what could happen! I enjoyed the threads which tied these novellas together. Characters from the first are mentioned/met in the second and both stories are very character/couple driven. There aren't a lot of supporting characters in either book, all the main action is with the couples themselves, except for the pieces with the baddies of course! Loved getting another slice of Darcy dealing with AAA (Agent Arrogant and Annoying).

UNIDENTIFIED - TWO ADVENTURE STORIES - that had me hooked until the last word and I still wanted more. Inside; horrific dangers, life-threatening moments, gripping suspense, spine-chilling action, emotional moments, picturesque and dynamic scene descriptions, humor, true friendship, hot alpha males/the powerful women they adore, steamy sensuous romance, and happy endings. The Emerald Tear: Archaeologist Oliver Ward and his team are on a quest to locate Inca ruins in the Amazon jungle. History challenges and excites Oliver, unfortunately, of late women do not. Persephone Blake is an audacious infamous treasure hunter. Her goal is to find the gem alone. The two meet under grave circumstances; their journey to a happy ending is quite a perilous ride. The Emerald Butterfly: Diego Torres retired Navy Seal has plaguing memories of his time served. His happy place is being aboard his ship the Storm Nymph. While his crew is vacationing he looks forward to his Florida alone time on his ship; a call from Treasure Hunter Security squashes it. Sloan McBride a tough sultry DEA agent requests Diego's help to locate the gem before her granddad passes. They face quite a few hazardous obstacles before reaching their happily ever after. THRILLING - The author has created two fascinating stories fused with reality and fantasy. Loved the suspense and action scenes. The chemistry between each couple is quite believable and shines in each story. Enjoying both stories {of my own volition without stipulations, I reviewed an advanced copy.} Without reservations, I recommend this read.
