About the Author

Dr. Marcus Matthews is an educator, speaker and author who holds a doctorate in higher and adult education, a master's in teaching, instruction, and curriculum leadership, and a bachelor's degree in journalism. Matthews' Response to Instruction and Intervention for Behavior (RTI2-B) Team facilitated a 26 percent decrease in out-of-school suspensions in 2019 while Matthews was a middle school dean of students in Memphis.
