Purpose: The book is designed as a clinical guide and reference facilitating accurate patient assessment and selection of protocols for anesthesia and pain management in veterinary patients. Presented in a question-and-answer format, this book is also an excellent study guide.
Audience: The book is directed to veterinarians in clinical practice or otherwise involved with providing medical care to traditional or exotic veterinary species or wildlife. It is also well-suited to advanced veterinary students undertaking clinical training in anesthesiology or those preparing for board examination. The book presumes prior understanding of basic veterinary physiology, pharmacology, and clinical medicine.
