About the Author

Ms. Vera Cleveland was born and raised in Eagle Lake, Texas. She is passionate about education and committed to helping individuals draw out what’s already in them. Vera graduated from Sam Houston State University with a Bachelor’s Degree in 2009 (Education/Mathematics) and a Master’s Degree in 2015 (Curriculum & Instruction). This year (2019), she received her principalship from Inspire Texas and is now a certified principal. Vera has been in the education field for the last 9 years. She has served as a teacher and an instructional coach. Vera is currently an assistant principal at an elementary school, where she helps serve the staff and approximately 650 students.

Vera loves serving others in the community. She is a Board Director for the 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization, AMOL: A Message of Love, Inc. The ministry’s focus is to lay a spiritual foundation for girls, in which they will love God and love the person He created them to be individually, while strongly building up every area of their lives so that they in turn become a blessing to others. She is a sponsor of Beauteous Leaders of Tomorrow, Inc. where the purpose of the organization is to help young girls develop a voice within the community, to achieve self-esteem, self-respect, and strength within themselves to become leaders of tomorrow. Vera is also a part of Kingdom Kids Academy (Next Level Christian Church) where she serves as an educational liaison. The school’s goal is to develop and tap into the gifts of each student by building a platform of love, education, and faith accompanied with the seven pillars the school stands on (knowledge, respect, honor, faith, love, patience, joy).
