I have a horrible habit of putting off reading the last book in a series I've loved because then that would mean there are no more books to look forward to. Completely irrational, since I know the author has another exciting series coming. All the books have been full of adventure, action, and angst, and this one is no different. Pete and Jess have provided some of the relationship drama in the previous books, and it was satisfying for them to finally grow, communicate, and have a resolution. They had quite the build-up! There is also a romance between Esme/Shea and a young man she met in the previous book, which gave us a nice break from the Pete and Jess drama. The murder case involving Esme's friend also comes to an end with the unexpected villain made known and it brought the elements of suspense and danger to the plot. It was nice to have everything wrapped up, and I'm ready for some fresh love stories from the author! (I received a complimentary copy of the book; all opinions in this review are my own)

Non-stop action from the very first page! You will get to visit with all the old characters and get that happy ever after with some new ones. Suspense abounds, danger lurks on every page and you won’t see the twists that come. I couldn’t put this down! Well written characters with real flaws that endear you to them and make you root for them to win in the end. Quite a few times I wanted to shake Jess into stop being so stubborn. Pete has to move on but he struggles with his past and wanting a different future. I would definitely categorize this as an up-all-nighter bookshelf keeper. If you love mystery, danger, fast action, page turning events and a thread of love and lessons then pick this up and read it!

The Montana Rescue series has been suspenseful, romantic, and packed with action. This final book of the series includes all of that and more. Quite appropriately for a Christian romance novel, the thread of faith is woven in somewhat loosely but is drawn together near the end to make for a special conclusion. So many of the dangling threads in the previous books are finally collected into a beautiful picture. Does every question get answered? Well, maybe not but so goes life. Most of the main characters have been introduced previously as Susan May Warren has shared their various stories. Of all of the characters, Pete and Jess may have appeared more frequently and now we get to find out how the story ends for each of them. I discovered that my wife aptly described the book a few nights ago. She commented that the close of each chapter drew her to the next chapter. I had the same experience of finding it difficult to put down. It seemed the chapters simply rushed from one cliff-hanging moment to the next.

AN ACTION-PACKED, HEART-POUNDING ADVENTURE… *I received a complimentary e-copy of this book from Revell at Baker Publishing Group in exchange for an honest review. All thoughts below are my own. With a gripping first sentence and a heart racing opening, USA Today bestselling author, Susan May Warren, captures readers attention immediately in Wait For Me, the sixth book of her Montana Rescue series. A suspenseful story of redemption, love, faith, adventure and romance… Without giving too much of this riveting story away, I’ll simply jump right to my review of this fabulous, new release from Revell and Susan May Warren. I was captivated by the story from the moment I started this book. It is an easy, yet engaging, read that draws readers in with gripping adventure right from the start. As the main characters battle internal struggles and the story forms, disaster strikes when three friends go missing and are feared in danger, including Jess Tagg, the love of Pete Brooks’ life. On the heels of a muddled romance and recent heartbreak, it is up to Pete and the PEAK team to rescue them! This book is written from multiple points of view and offers perspective on the story from different angles as the plot unfolds. Readers can identify with the relatable struggles the characters face as they not only work to overcome the scars of their pasts but also work together to fight for life and rescue. I truly enjoyed the way Susan May Warren intertwined the story behind Pete and Jess’s romance as Pete and the PEAK team work to find and save Jess, Ned and Shae. It was beautifully written and I found the characters engaging and relatable. As the plot would thicken, the adventure intensified, keeping me turning page after page in a hurry. As an adult reader, I enjoyed the romance in this book. It was clean, enticing, passionate and tender, making this book a perfect contemporary romance. I will note that since this book is a part of series, there a LOT of characters introduced that I had some trouble keeping up with. However, because this book was so good, Warren has me wanting to read the rest of this series as soon as possible! I did feel that there were a couple of parts where the backstory of Pete and Jess’s romance was repetitive but I will say I enjoyed their interactions and even felt myself tensing over their squabbles and internally fighting for their love and reunification. Overall, a great read and not only a book that deserves an ovation, but a series that deserves recognition as well.

Wow! What a ride this series has been. Finally a certain story thread has been completed and all characters seem to be settled a little better in life. I have been rooting for Pete and Jess this whole series. And while I have enjoyed all the couples’s stories, this set seemed to really resonate with me. I don’t know if it is because theirs was saved for last or because Pete is such a romantic, bad boy, idiot and there were times I would have liked to clunk his and Jess’s heads together. Their story did not disappoint and if you are looking for an emotionally driven, angsty charged series with danger from nature and man, this series does not disappoint. This story certainly kept me enthralled with all the twists and turns and some unexpected revelations. I am sad to see these characters go and hope that we might see them again in another story. I highly recommend this series as a whole. I received a copy of this novel from Revell. I was not required to post a positive review and all views and opinions are my own.

Wait For Me is the final installment in the Montana Rescue series by Susan May Warren. Like the rest of the novels in this series, Wait For Me was well-written, fast-paced, and held my attention. This particular novel was stuffed with emotional angst in addition to suspense and mystery. I liked that the author quietly sewed in a theme of leaning in and trusting in God's love for His children. She held true to the dichotomy that while God's love will ultimately preserve us, it doesn't always prevent us from hurt and injury. Still, God's love is presented as a source of hope and reason for faith. I recommend reading the entire series before reading Wait for Me because Jess and Pete's relationship develops substantially in other books. The series long saga of Esme/Shae is finally resolved and the main characters from prior books play roles in Wait for Me. Readers who have enjoyed the Montana Rescue series by Susan May Warren will enjoy reading the final riveting installment. My personal favorites are Wild Montana Skies (Book 1) and Troubled Waters (Book 4). I recommend the entire series to fans of Christian romance. Each novel is filled with intense danger, growing faith, and delicious romance. Disclosure of Material Connection: I received this book free from the publisher. I was not required to write a positive review. The opinions I have expressed are my own. What a wonderful feeling to finish this series, have the answers, and see all of the happily-ever-afters that have built throughout each and every book. But it was also hard to know that I was reading the final book in the Montana Rescue series, as I have enjoyed these novels so much. I guess I will just need to go back and enjoy re-reading them in the future! And this is definitely a series that readers should read in its entirety. The individual novels have some continuing situations that are not all fully resolved until Wait for Me. I enjoyed this story so much! I loved the adventure of it, yet for me, the best part was the intense back and forth of Jess and Pete’s story. I liked the way that the author allowed the reader to peek back into the past year and see glimpses of what went right and what went wrong for Jess and Pete. These two went through so much, both physically and emotionally in this story, and both of them had a lot of growing to do! And they did! Jess and Pete both learned so much and grew in their walks with God, as well as in their understanding of the love that they had for each other. In all of the Montana Rescue novels, there have been two love stories going on in each book. Wait for Me was no exception, and I so enjoyed the romance and devotion that developed between Shae and Ned. Their love story was a wonderful addition to the plot. I highly recommend Wait for Me, along with the entire Montana Rescue series. I received a complimentary copy of this book. All opinions are my own.

Wait for Me is book 6 in the Montana Rescue series by Susan May Warren. I did not read any of the previous 5 books and I am wondering now if the book would have been better had I read them. The  book can be read without reading the others but there are a lot of seemingly developed characters and backstory that one might need to know. The author does a good job of filling in the questions by adding a lot of pertinent backstory right in the book which is helpful. The story is high energy for sure. Once I got to about 40% in it picked up and was hard to put down. I finished the last half in an afternoon. The beginning started a little rocky for me, but this could have been because I didn't read the other books. I had trouble keeping all the people straight. The snippets about each character at the beginning were short and kind of quick moving so it was hard to separate them all and remember who was who. I was worried I wouldn't be able to finish the book. I started to catch on though and kept going... and I was glad I did. I did have some trouble with some disjointed sections. For example, when the car leaves the wedding and they all of a sudden are getting plowed off the road? Where did that come from? It seemed totally out of left field. It might have been less jarring had there been some kind of bridge into it... maybe the occupants of the car thought they were being followed which led to a little bit of a chase or something. Instead it was so sudden it was a bit unnatural. The other part that I struggled with was when they would jump back in time and tell some backstory. There was no differentiation. I had to go back and reread to find out what was going on. It might have been helpful if there was something there to warn the reader that they were hopping back in time. The Christian references were subtle but timely. Overall the story was great. The details were well written and the characters were developed well. I would love to go back and read the other books in the series when I have time. I received a copy of this book from Revell. This has in no way influenced my review. I was under no compulsion to write a positive review. All thoughts are my own.

This is book number six in the Montana Rescue Series and from what I gathered, this is the last book in the series. I think this is the third one I read, so you don't have to read them in order to get the story being told, but I'm thinking there would be some things that would make more sense if you did read them in order from the prequel through book six. This book, Wait for Me, was a little over the edge for me. The whole book took place in less than a week and was pretty much full of sappy love scenes (nothing R rated) and full out running away from the bad guy. I don't like to give spoilers, so I will just say I found it a little hard to believe that everything that happened in this book could actually happen to a person and they all would survive. I think, for me, this book seemed a bit unrealistic and a little too much romance. But I haven't tried to survive in the wilderness and I know the fight for survival is definitely strong, so I don't want to say it is impossible. However, I will say, it does hold your attention as you are sure that you know who the bad guy is in the story, but then towards the end, you are completely surprised and then when you are left with a final surprise again. So there are some unexpected twist and turns in the mystery aspect of the book. The romance aspect is exactly as you suspected from about the first page on. The other thing I want to add here is something that Susan said in her Author's Note that resonated with me: "I wanted to write a story about a woman who just didn't want to cause any more problems, didn't want to hurt anyone else, who just wanted everyone to be happy. The problem is, we can't please everyone, and when we try, we end up making a mess. The best thing we can do is live in truth, love others well, and trust in a God who loves us enough to fix our messes." And then for the hero he "turned into a guy who modelled the reckless love Christ has for us. Even when we break his heart, he just can't turn away from us....We need to remember this when we look at our mistakes, our messes, and our failures." Looking at the book from that perspective did change it a bit for me, because it is true. We can't please everyone and it's a mess if we try. And God is waiting to help us if we will rely on Him, which is where the main characters came to at the end of the book. I have read some of Susan May Warren's other books and I would suggest if you are new to her writings that you start with the Christiansen family series. It's another series of six, plus the prequel, about a family in Deep Haven, MN. It has the usual romance for each child in the family, but it is full of lots of other things too. They are the best books I've read by her so far. Anyway, that's my plug there. I received this book from Revell through NetGalley and was not required to write a positive review.

I’m just going to say it. I loved, loved, Wait For Me, by Susan May Warren. It might even be my favorite book from the Montana Rescue series. Bad boy turned search-and-rescue hero, Pete Brooks, is weary by the work he’s so good at. And he’s wearied by the uncertainties in the relationship-gone-south he had with the woman he loves. All he wants is to figure out how to move on from the only woman he’s ever truly loved. Rich girl and medic Jess Tagg has spent a year trying to be all that her family needs, sacrificing her own needs, and her relationship with the man she thought was her perfect match. When she goes back to Montana for a friend’s wedding reception, she runs into Pete Brooks. After a fight, she does what she can to get away from him, never expecting to be kidnapped and injured. This story had me gripped from the opening page. Warren keeps the action and the tension taut throughout the story. And, in her amazing way, she weaves in a beautiful story of love redeemed. I loved the setting of this story. Warren’s way of drawing me in was so vivid. I could picture where the characters were. I heard the river, and other things. I felt the cold nights. The twists and the surprises made this story a “can’t-put-down” one for me. I loved that I couldn’t easily predict what was coming. And just when I thought I had things figured out? Something unexpected happened, and then I had to readon to learn how it resolved. And the ending? It may have had me shedding a happy tear. Or ten. So satisfying. If you enjoy books with real, flawed but likeable characters mixed in with action and adventure? You’ve got to read Wait For Me. **I was provided with an e-copy of this book from NetGalley in exchange for my honest review.

This sixth book in the Montana Rescue series is off-the-charts exhilarating! Wait for Me has it all: danger, rescues, survival, self-forgiveness, and enough romance and true love to fill a ravine in the Montana mountains. The overall theme of this story is realizing that love is worth the risk and not letting that love slip through your fingers because of pride, misunderstandings, miscommunication, and misplaced loyalties. While the story is basically about Jess and Pete, another couple shares the spotlight: Ned and Shae. All are fighting their own demons, vulnerabilities, and pasts filled with wrong turns and feelings of low self-worth. I love all the characters, but I have to say that Felipe ended up being one of my favorites. Watching these characters evolve and grow in their relationships is a delight all the way through. The author expertly captures those heart-pounding moments of peril, revenge, physical and emotional suffering, and daring heroism. This book is jam packed with frightening action but with enough romantic moments and reflection to slow it down and keep it from becoming too much. The pacing is spot on. The author is also good at developing antagonists and antagonistic forces that make your heart race with fear and anticipation as Jess, Ned, Shae, and the others fight against injuries, bad weather, and treacherous terrain in their desperate attempt to survive and outwit the menacing bad guys. Hang on to your seat because book six in this Montana Rescue Series is a non-stop ride full of adventure, camaraderie, and true love.

This is book six in the Montana Rescue Series, however it is somewhat of a stand alone book. You do miss lots of history not only in the characters but even some of the plot, plus all the books are well written and good books. They all focus around a PEAK rescue team and I fell in love with the entire team. I have not read all the books in this series and had no trouble keeping up, I have read about half of them though, so I knew a lot of the history from those. I do wish I would have read them all and may go back and do just that. This book will focus mainly on Jess and Pete. There is suspense, Drama, action, mystery, twist and turns, surprises, forgiveness and romance.

WORTH WAITING FOR! Wait for Me (Montana Rescue #6) by Susan May Warren has been worth waiting for! This novel may be read as a stand-alone but should be read in chronological order to fully understand the complexity of characters as well as the complexity of the plot. Understanding the backstory will make this novel even more suspenseful and intense. Pete Brooks wants to continue his work in Search and Rescue. More than that, he wants to reunite with EMT Jess Tagg and finally get her to marry him. After all, he has proposed to her three times! However, Pete’s heart is aching as he has discovered Jess has returned to her real life as Selene (her father was convicted of the largest Ponzi scheme and she testified against him and has been living under an assumed name)is engaged to her old boyfriend Felipe. Pete has some sliver of hope as Jess has told him “things aren’t as they seem.” In this novel, Warren ties up many loose ends from the entire series. During one of the happiest days for a couple of the Peak Team family, a disagreement shakes things up causing Jess, Esme and her friend Ned to leave a Wedding Reception. That one incident triggers a deadly nightmare course of events that will take the reader into an adrenaline overload adventure! The three are run off the road, taken hostage, escape into the Montana mountain wildness, injured with no way to contact the outside world. They make it to a rustic cabin where things progressively get worse! Who can find them? There is one man with the skills. If ... he still cares enough about Jess to search for her. Pete, Jess, Esme and Ned show what it means to have turned their back on God & live their lives their own way. They put their trust In themselves and not God. Throughout the series, each of the other PEAK Team Members and family have learned to trust God and grow in their faith. They have shown Pete, Jess, Esme and Ned by being living examples before them as well as telling them verbally about their faith. As the four of them face their mortality several times over, their growing faith is put to the test. They learn to rely on the God of GRACE and not themselves and to be thankful fo the ways He has blessed them. I was provided an ARC of this book by Revell and NetGalley. The opinions expressed here are completely my own and without influence.

"But perhaps that was what love looked like too. Not perfect, but raw and jagged and terrifying and wounding...and beautiful and overwhelming and completely, wonderfully out of her control. Because love gave all." What an incredible conclusion to this epic series! As always, Susan May Warren packs in action, suspense, harrowing brushes with death and disaster, and quite a few twists and turns in the story to make you stay up way past your bedtime reading....and thinking, just one more page.... And the raw emotional intensity of the main characters is completely heart-wrenching and real. If you've read the previous books in the series, you've been impatiently waiting for Pete and Jess to have their story. Even if you haven't read any of the previous books, this particular book can be read as a stand alone because there are many flashbacks that make up the bulk of Pete and Jess' story that even the die-hard followers of the series have not be privy to in the other books. Pete is a changed man and gone are his wild ways. He's still heroic, protective to a fault, and passionate but he's completely undone and broken and wounded by Jess who has returned to her glamorous lifestyle in NYC. Jess doesn't know who she is or what she wants and feels trapped. Felipe, Jess' previous fiance, actually plays a bigger role in the story than I thought he would and became quite likable even though he's competing against Pete for Jess. And then there are Ned and Shae. Ned is the younger version of Pete and so incredibly heroic. Shae has finally returned home to Mercy Falls, Montana not just to attend Ben and Kacey's wedding reception but also to find closure in her run from the man who killed her previous boyfriend. Each of these characters must learn to fight their fears to conquer them but also learn to ask for help from their friends, family, and God in conquering these fears. What a satisfying finale to an adrenaline-packed series full of rescue, grace, hope, love, joy, and faith. I received a copy of the book from Baker Publishing Group via LibraryThing and was under no obligation to post a review. All comments and opinions are solely my own.

Unputdownable, heart-pounding, action-packed romantic suspense novel revolving around not just one, but two fantastic love stories. On top of it all, it’s a Christian romance as well with the characters who were in mortal danger trusting God’s will at the same time that they try their hardest to rescue themselves. Although I am coming into this series late (this is the first book I read and it’s the series ender), I didn’t feel lost in spite of the numerous named characters. It actually encouraged me to look up the previous five and add them to my to-be-read mountain of books. Wait For Me had me turning page after page to find out how Pete and Jess will finally end up together and how the new romance between Shae and Ned develop, especially with Shae on the verge of death and with a killer still after her. It’s all very exciting and Ms. Warren’s writing is impeccable. She really takes the reader right in the middle of the book as if we’re witnessing the action as it happens. I love that all the characters are capable, be they men or women. I love that Felipe is an upstanding guy, that he makes it hard for Jess to choose between him and Pete. Like I already said above, although they have faith in God, they don’t just wait to be rescued. Lastly, I love the family and community coming together to help each other out. Fantastic book. I highly recommend it.

Such a wonderful end to a beautiful series. The action and adventure kept me on the edge of my seat! Jess and Pete kept the pages turning and your heart pumping, breaking and being put back together at the same time. It is amazing how grief, without God, can pull you down so low, you almost can't find your way out. But His mercy is always there...always waiting for us to reach out for it. This is the love that Susan makes stand out.

Outdoor action is always part of Susan Warren's books and Wait for Me is no exception! Pete is always ready to rescue someone in danger from a car submerged in the Meramec River in Missouri to kidnapped friends in the mountains of Montana! Selene Tess wants to make everyone happy but sometimes that is impossible. Tess and Pete are excellent protagonists as they fight to rescue each other when they are hurt and lost near Glacier National Park. All of the members of the PEAK team from other Montana Rescue books make appearances in Wait for Me! Pete who likes to be in control learns to let God be in control of his life. I highly recommend Wait for Me and the rest of the Montana Rescue series to anyone who enjoys contemporary action books. I received a complimentary e-book through NetGalley. This is my honest opinion.

Yay! We finally get to read Jess and Pete's story. The two have danced around their attraction so long and Pete has proposed a couple of time and Jess has even said "yes" but something always comes up. Jess Tagg is really Selene Jessica Taggert, a socialite from New York City, who put her father away in prison for a large Ponzi scheme (at his request to save her and her brother). To escape the publicity and paparazzo, she moved to Montana a few years ago to work as an EMT with the PEAK rescue team with the help of her friend, Ty Remington. That is when she and Pete met. Pete has tried to get her out of his mind but has failed. Likewise, Jess has tried to get over Pete. The two meet back up at the wedding reception for country music star, Ben King and his bride, Kacey King, helicopter pilot for the PEAK team. Their reunion did not go well so Jess caught a ride from the party with friend, Shae and her friend, Ned. Unfortunately, someone ran them off the road, kidnapped them and took them deep in the forest. Injured, the three managed to escape the truck carrying them. There is a wild adventure from this point as they try to survive in harsh elements with their injuries and pray that help arrives in time to save them. The team finally realize what has happened and set out to find the three and whoever is after them. That is a real mystery. Everyone has suspicions as to who is after them but are not sure. This is a great addition to this awesome series. Read for a wild ride of suspense, danger, romance and finding faith in times of need. I received an ARC of the book from Revell Publishing through NetGalley. The thoughts and opinions are mine only.

Loyal readers have been waiting patiently to see if Pete Brooks and Jess Tagg would be able to figure out their lives and that they belong together. Finally, they're front and center in the last of the Montana Rescue books. Pete has spent a year trying to forget Jess and trying to move on. Jess has spent the year trying to please her mother, her family, her former (and current??) fiance Felipe, and generally everyone except herself. Finally, they're in the same place, at the same time. Back in Mercy Falls for Ben and Kacey's wedding reception. However, their reunion doesn't go well. Shae/Esme and Ned Marshall, last seen in Storm Front (Ty and Brette's story, Montana Rescue Book 5), are driving Jess home when their pickup is run off the road. They don't know who is after them. The man Shae is prepared to accuse as a murderer after running for five years? Someone angry at Jess or her family? Or a random crazy person? Jess, Shae, and Ned are on the run in the Montana wilderness, injured and cold, with someone after them. Pete and the rest of the PEAK Rescue team are also on the hunt. It's a race to find the missing trio. I love the way Warren combines faith, suspense, adventure, and romance in this series. Wait for Me is a fitting conclusion. Pete and Jess both have to work through their pasts and their mistakes before they can embrace God's forgiveness, grace, and each other. I highly recommend this one! ----- I received an advance copy of Wait For Me, in exchange for an honest review, which I've done.

*My Thoughts* No reader wants a favorite series to end. It's like saying goodbye to a good friend. That being said, Wait for Me was the perfect ending to an amazing series. It honestly was so worth the wait! I had some conflicting thoughts about Jess in this book. I hurt for her as she showed up in the earlier books, but in this book, I started out a bit frustrated with her. I just found myself having a hard time understanding her. Sometimes she felt like the "victim" and sometimes I was angry with her actions. As the book progressed, I started to get what her part was in the story and enjoyed their story more. Susan did a fabulous job of making her the sweet heroine we wanted while keeping her "human". I am convinced that Pete is everyone's favorite hero. Sweet, kind, and forgiving, Pete's wounded but strong spirit left us coming back for more through the whole Montana Rescue Series. Getting glimpses of his and Jess' complicated relationship throughout the series left us hanging with Susan's usual knack for suspense. Through the story, we were able to see relationships and broken spirits mended in the way only a last book can accomplish. Most importantly, this book had what we all want...closure. We all love the suspense, but at the end of the day, we want a book that makes us sigh when we reach the last page. And sure, every author wants that sigh to mean we're sorry the series ended, but more importantly we want to feel like it ended as it should. Susan gave us the story we wanted, while still wrapping up the story with a beautiful bow that leaves us aching for her next work of art. I, for one, can't wait! _______________________________________________________ *My Rating* I give Wait for Me by Susan May Warren... 5 stars! I voluntarily reviewed a complimentary copy from the publisher. All opinions are my own.

I had been eagerly anticipating the conclusion to the Montana Rescue series, and Susan May Warren did not disappoint with Wait for Me. The story does stand on its own, but I would highly recommend reading the rest of the series, which sets up Pete and Jess’s story. Pete Brooks has been waiting for a year for Jess Tagg to return to Montana. She had told him that she loved him, but she’s been holding him at arm’s length while she deals with some things in her past. He’s afraid that she’s going to break his heart, and he’s not sure how long he should wait for her. In the meantime he’s been leading search and rescue teams, but things haven’t gone entirely according to plan there either. Jess finally returns to Montana, but to complicate things a little, her ex-fiancé soon follows. Pete no longer seems interested in a relationship with her, and Jess finds herself running away. That decision puts her in a truck with another young couple. When their truck is run off the road, they find themselves literally on the run for their lives in the Montana wilderness. Pete and the other PEAK team members begin a race against time to find and rescue them before it’s too late. I was hooked from the very first scene, a water rescue attempt that went wrong. I couldn’t put the book down until I found out if everyone survived and got a happy ending or not. (That doesn’t usually happen if a love triangle is involved.) I won’t give any spoilers, but I loved how it turned out and I would definitely read any follow up books that Susan May Warren might write. My only regret was that this was the last book of the series. I would recommend Wait for Me to anyone who enjoys books with lots of action and adventure mixed with clean romance. Her characters are very believable and real, and I felt like I knew them by the end of the series. Even though they may have made mistakes in their pasts, they find grace and forgiveness and don’t have to be bound by them. I received a review copy from the author and publisher, but the views expressed here are entirely my own.

Wait For Me is the final book in the Montana Rescue series. This romantic suspense novel is a must read!!! This book will answer any remaining questions you have from the previous books. The main focus of this book is on Pete and Jess’s relationship. Of course, there has to be some suspense too. After Pete and Jess come in contact with each other in Montana, Jess catches a ride with Ned and Shae. Once in the car, they are run off the road and captured. Who is behind this and why are they doing it? This stunning conclusion will leave you guessing to what might occur next. This book will update you on characters in the other books and also provide more to Ned and Shae’s relationship. If you have enjoyed the other books in the series, you will not be disappointed in this book. If you haven’t read the series, you can read this as a stand-alone book, but will enjoy reading the series in order. I highly recommend this book and the entire series!!! You will not be disappointed! Be prepared to read all night! ***I was given a free electronic copy of this book from the publisher for an honest review. This is my honest opinion. Even though I received this copy free, I have purchased her books before.

“True love—unconditional love—declares you worthy just because it chooses you. And there's nothing you can do about it.” (pg 150) We finally get the conclusion of the Montana Rescue series with Jess & Pete's story! As bittersweet as that is, I feel it was the perfect ending to such an amazing series!! This one had plenty of action and heart-in-your-throat moments, tempered with a romance that's been brewing for a long time. Both Pete and Jess struggle to overcome circumstances that have kept them apart for more than a year, things well beyond their control and plenty of misunderstandings to keep their feelings at bay. That is until Jess, Esme, and Ned are run off the road, fight to survive, and are held hostage in a remote cabin in the Montana wilderness where they are forced to meet their problems head-on...IF they survive! I've longed for a happily-ever-after for all the characters Warren has introduced to us to from the beginning. I just didn't know what I was in for and what a ride it has been! Not only are there great characters, but more importantly there are deep spiritual truths that God has whispered in my own heart. It's like finding precious gems the author has hidden for the reader to discover. For example these lines stood out to me: “That's what love does right? Shows up and sticks around, even for the hard stuff. Keeps its promises.” (pg 322) “She too knew real love. The kind of love that forgave and showed up and chased and forgave again and kept showing up, loving her when she didn't have the courage to love back. Love pursued. Love forgave. Love believed. Love sacrificed.” (pg 287) That's not only true love between a man and a woman, but the love God has for us. He'll pursue us, love us and has already sacrificed Himself to show us how far He will go to win our hearts! I loved seeing how each person in these books has grown in their own walk with God through the hard stuff & the easy stuff too. It changed them and it changed me too! *I received a complimentary copy from Revell on the authors’ behalf and was under no obligation to leave a positive review. All opinions are my ow

After building up a relationship between Pete and Jess for the first five books, Susan May Warren finally rewards her readers with them getting their own story in the last book in the Montana Rescue series, Wait For Me. A roller coaster ride from start to finish, this one will have you guessing at every corner who's behind everything, and will have your heart breaking for the treacherous journey that Pete, Jess, Ned and Shae find themselves on for the course of the book. Pete and Jess' relationship has always been complicated, but it was made more so when Jess was revealed to be former New York society princess, Selene Taggart. She's made a new life for herself in Montana with Pete and the other members of PEAK Rescue, but family complications have called her back home to her family, and to her former fiance, Felipe. Pete has never gotten over how he felt about Jess, but after months of waiting for her to come back to him, he feels that she can't possibly love him the way he loves her. Shae and Ned had a whirlwind summer romance in the previous book, but haven't really seen each other since. When Ben and Kacey's wedding reception finally happens, these two couples will come face to face for the first time in awhile, and feelings will arise. Ned and Shae are prepared to take off where they left off, but Pete and Jess are both dealing with past hurts, and things don't go as planned. Jess leaves the wedding reception with Ned and Shae and suddenly disaster strikes. The three of them find themselves in a precarious situation with their lives at stake, and it will take all the current and former members of PEAK Rescue working together to save them from someone's dangerous agenda, and the rugged, harsh conditions of the Montana wilderness. Pete will never be able to live with himself if he's unable to rescue Jess and tell her once and for all what he feels about her, and Jess' faith and trust will be put to the test as she struggles to keep herself, Ned and Shae alive in their precarious situation. Once again, Susan May Warren has written a story that's filled with dangerous situations, characters who have to fight against the all odds stacked against them to truly ever be together, a plot that's action packed and full of twists and turns, and an ever present reminder that everything is possible through our Heavenly Father who loves us despite of everything. Wait For Me is the conclusion to the Montana Rescue series, and it wraps up everything beautifully for the reader. We're given a glimpse into every character featured in the previous books, we're given an answer to the many questions that have been raised throughout the course of the series, and we're finally given the romance we've all been waiting for since book one. While I enjoyed Pete, Jess, Ned and Shae as characters, it was really Pete that held my heart in this one as he'd been through so much, and truly loved Jess with everything inside of him, despite her repeated rejections of him. While I'd still that the last book, Storm Front, was my favorite because of just how much I loved Ty and Brette, this one is definitely up there as one of my favorites from the series, and I gave it five out of five stars. I will definitely miss reading these turbulent, adventure novels from Susan May Warren as the characters have come to feel like close friends, but I look forward to seeing what new books she has in store for her readers in the future, and that hopefully she'll revisit these bel

Oh, the feels!!! Usually, when a book is as anticipated as Pete & Jess’ story, it has a bit of a difficult time measuring up to all of that anticipation. Not so with Wait For Me! It was every bit as awesome as I was hoping it would be. Pete fell for Jess a while back and he thought the feeling was mutual. Then Jess left with her ex-fiance to try to right some old wrongs. But when communication stops, what is a guy supposed to think? When Jess is re-engaged to her ex-fiance, all Pete wants to do is heal. But wait, what if all is not as it seems? Jess too, just wants to get back with Pete, and when she comes back to tell him just that, he seems to not want her. Through Jess & Pete’s struggle we get the bonus of the wrap-up of Esme’s story, as well. This is a read that will not disappoint, especially if you have already been reading the series and waiting for Pete & Jess’ happy ending. This book is the quintessential blend of a perfect ending to a great series, and the sadness that comes from it being all done. Once again, Susan May Warren weaves it all together to make a spectacular book! I received this book from the author free of charge and all opinions expressed are my own.
