What's Wrong? I Don't Know
For over 30 years, friends, strangers and doctors urged me to share my firsthand account of mental illness. They believed in my ability to use simple words to help many people understand and empathize with those afflicted with this devastating illness. Through sharing and listening to others, I now know that mental illness has no boundaries. In my book, I give glimpses into what it's like to live with mental illness. By the end of my journey, I found my way out with hope and a calm mind.

Volunteer and reach out to someone you know who is suffering, visit them and remind them they are not forgotten. When supporting someone with any illness, small actions can have a powerful effect.

About the Author

My name is Kelleen Dawson, and I live in Houston, Texas. Now that I'm retired, I finally had the time to write the story I promised so many people over the past 30 years. After living with mental illness for over five decades, my life finally changed when I received the correct diagnosis. I wanted to tell my story to help those with a mental illness know they are not alone and should seek help. It is crucial to remove the stigma associated with mental illness. Suicide is a global problem. This disorder is real and affects millions of people globally.
Never give up. It is worth the fight for a better life.
