About the Author

Valeree Lane is the proud descendant of warriors and kings. She has written for elected officials and college presidents. Her interest in history has led to the love of several dead men: King David, Saint Peter, Theodore Roosevelt, Robert Benchley, John Hay, and Doc Holliday.

The self-proclaimed Spinster Aunt seeks the best for those she calls her own. She has a niece and nephew, and a great nephew and great niece. However, she also counts herself privileged to collect bonus nieces and nephews wherever she goes. A good aunt is a nurturing friend with valuable life experience.

This is her second book, having co-authored Maud & Mary: A Century of Change to coincide with the centennial of Klamath Falls' Baldwin Hotel Museum.
