About the Author

Cindy Grisham has always loved history. From a long line of Ozarks storytellers she always loved listening to people talk about old times and old friends. Inspired by their stories she began researching her own family and the history of the land they lived in and loved in her spare time.

A career change in 2004 sent her to graduate school and a program in history and culture. She wound up working in a small university owned and operated museum in the small Poinsett County town of Tyronza and discovered a whole new land to uncover.

She is a native of the Missouri Ozarks but now calls central Arkansas home. She lives there with her boys, Tim the man and Jack the dog. She works as an independent historian.
