The Phoenix branch of the Los Angeles Russian Mafia wants I & J's Fountain Restaurant for their starting point in taking over a condo and office complex. The facility is needed to house, feed, and provide a work area for a major operation they plan to undertake in the United States. When Jose (The J in I&J's) refuses and beats up the the two men sent to convince him, they kidnap Izabela (The I in I and J's). John Bodie is called in to help find her. The winter visitors and the local customers band together, to assist Bodie, in the recovery of Izabela and to remove the Mafia threat. Bodie finds himself in trouble with the FBI and the Mafia.

About the Author

John has been employed as an actor, police officer, criminal investigator, undercover operative and private investigator. He is a highly decorated combat veteran with two Bronze stars, Five Army Commendation Medals with "V" device for valor, a Purple Heart and many other awards and citations. He retired from the army as a Lieutenant Colonel. Before his civilian retirement, He had the third largest private investigative agency in the State of Washington.
He has conducted or supervised over 3000 investigations and performed more than 6000 polygraph examinations. Most of which were court ordered.
He has a degree in Law Enforcement and Corrections from the University of Nebraska at Omaha and a Masters in Psychology from Webster College in St. Louis, Mo.
This is the eighth novel in the John Bodie Series.
