Pastor Kathy LaFleur answered the call to preach in 2006 after relocating
from Sacramento California to Las Vegas Nevada. She completed the
Ministers Training Class, the Study of Genesis, at New Revelation Baptist
Church and received her Certificate of License on April 6, 2008. This made
History as she was the First Woman Licensed to Preach in the History of
the Church. She worked as a Youth Leader teaching Sunday School, and Youth groups
for several years. Following that Pastor LaFleur was chosen to lead the
Women’s Ministry and served faithfully for 3 years as the Teacher of the
Women’s Bible Study Class. She was then chosen to teach New Membership Class for the Church where she was put to the task of developing the teaching curriculum and study guide that develop and strengthen new and returning members. Pastor LaFleur has always continued in her Education by attending training
classes for ministers and pastors. Pastor LaFleur is a Teacher, Leader, Playwright, and a Mentor. She self-
published her first book, Out of the Cage, the cry of a helpmeet, she was the
Co-author for “These Shoes Hurt, the walk of a widow- which is the literary
work for her late Mother, Mother Joan Johnson. She has founded many women’s ministry project “Out of the Cage” that encouraged women to embrace their God-given call.
On June 1, 2019, she started a Live Radio Broadcast Show on Anointed Radio
Network titled, “And She shall be called Woman”, designed to empower,
encourage and enlighten women of God which developed into a Podcast that
streamed weekly on several platforms including Apple Podcast, AnchorFM, and Spotify.
On June 1, 2019, Reverend LaFleur graduated from Kingdom Builders Bible
Seminary, Las Vegas Campus, where she received her Bachelor of Art in
Theology. She created “Fire in The Hole”, a preaching platform on Facebook Live
In 2022 she launched her Preaching with Power Workshop 101, 102 for Women in ministry, 103- a Coed Course that included men in ministry She’s created and developed the
Preaching with Power Handbook which is set to release this year.
She is the proud parent of four children: Cherise, Victor, Marquis, and
Maurice and the grandparents of 16 amazing grandchildren. Her life is dedicated to living by example and encouraging men and women how to live up to their full potential in Christ.
She is looking to continue in ministry and want to be a
blessing to the community and the World abroad.
