Will and Emma have been counting down the days to go boating at the lake. They know all the boating rules and always follow them. But this year, Will thinks no one will notice if he slightly bends one of the rules. To his surprise, Warden Caldwell approaches for a boater safety check and Will's poor decision is discovered. About the Author

Joann Garza-Mayberry grew up in San Antonio, Texas and is a graduate of Texas State University and the University of the Incarnate Word. She has had a successful career as a Texas Game Warden stationed in Caldwell County since 2004. Joann enjoys community outreach and has written children’s books that share important lessons from some of her own youth interactions, as a Fish and Wildlife Conservation Officer.
