Women's Neurology
Women's Neurology, Second Edition, utilizes a case-based methodology and updated literature review on current best practices to present the most up-to-date information on the diagnosis, treatment, and management of neurological conditions when a patient is pregnant, postpartum/breastfeeding, trying to conceive, and in women in general across the lifespan. Disorders that may affect both men and women, but may have a different risk, prevalence, presentation, or treatment considerations for women are also presented. Updated guidelines and recent relevant research study results are succinctly summarized.

The book is divided into sections based on the type of neurological illness presented: from headache, epilepsy, multiple sclerosis, stroke, ophthalmology, infectious diseases, and brain tumors. Women's Neurology will introduce residents and fellows, as well specialists in neurology, obstetric anesthesia, obstetrics and gynecology, and maternal-fetal medicine to important neurological concepts and disease processes that could potentially affect female patients throughout their lives, including topics on reproductive health, pregnancy, and issues around healthy aging.

The book consists of case scenarios illustrative of common neurological conditions faced in caring for female patients. The case examples are followed by an overview on the diagnosis, management, and treatment strategies used in caring for particular neurological conditions, with key take-away points at the end of each chapter.
