The first and likely best album from The Radiators. A minimalist, fully ingenious approach in their fundamental years, with obvious inspiration and influences from Professor Longhair,...illustrates a bar band’s bar band (assuming you know New Orleans' musical renaissance and corresponding nightlife of the late 70's & 80's, have done a Jazz Fest or two, or cavorted with the city's "cannibal girls" within the domain of the "lowlife." ) hands down. Technically, recorded direct from the board at Tipitina’s, the only shortcoming with “signal to noise” a little too distant to the master tape, understandably could have been better, easily compensated by the groups choice of original material and executed flawlessly.
