Wendell Swinton did graduate work in nutrition and health. Following that he acted as an assistant editor on the Laurencom Publications newsletter, "Live Healthy 24/7". His responsibilities included all major projects for the monthly newsletter. He also initiated information products in areas of his special interest, including healthy weight loss and careful eating habits.

"Live Healthy 24/7"™ was later purchased by Durango Publishing Corp., and was Wendell's introduction to this rapidly growing publisher of niche specialty books and information products.

By the time of the newsletter sale Wendell had become editor-in-chief, and he was responsible for devising and assigning every major research and publishing project initiated by the newsletter.
