About the Author

Funny story, I have been a coffee drinker since I was little. At age 5 I asked my Dad to make me coffee in a bottle. Let me tell you, he was okay with me drinking coffee not happy about me asking for a bottle. My Dad fed all 6 of us kids at a very young age. Now, I am a coffee lover, I can drink it all day every day. Out of us 6 kids, 4 were born in California, I personally am a born and bread Texan. I love Texas and am very proud to be from here. I am married to a Texan and all three of my children are from Texas. My children are the ones that pushed me to share our family tradition of riddled rhyme scavenger hunts. Trust me when I say, my children have been doing these scavenger hunts since they were 2 and truly enjoy them, and best yet I get so much enjoyment out of the hunts. What other ways can you send your kids running around looking for clues just because. The hunts do not always have a gift or surprise in the end. There are times that I just need a little entertainment. That is one of the perks of having kids, they hunt, wear themselves out, and I get to laugh and watch in anticipation to what conclusion they will come to.
