Cake, Fries, and My Fat Angry Thighs: A Journal of Sorts, Then and Now
What happens when Self-Acceptance and Well-Being host a dinner party and the guests are Diet Culture, Body Image, Love of Food, and Emotional Eating? They might never agree on dessert—but Marcy Sproull would insist on cake, with plenty of frosting.

Told in two voices, this book invites readers into a candid, often hilarious, and heartfelt conversation between past and present. Through a collection of journal-style entries, Marcy explores these tangled relationships with light-hearted confessions, gentle self-deprecation, and funny recollections. The main course, however, is her thoughtful reflection on how her perspectives have shifted over time, and how self-criticism can soften into grace.
