The last warm days
A family love story, but primarily the story of a family separated by the Berlin Wall. Twenty-nine-year-old Anna is searching for her grandfather, who fled to East Germany in 1961 and disappeared immediately afterward. In her search, Anna finds her true love before her grandfather's story unfolds and her life changes completely. How the Berlin Wall and its collapse affected an entire generation socially and psychologically, and how these transformations began the social revolution in Germany, is a panoramic story of Germany's modern social history From the fifties until now, a story about love and betrayal, about homeland and estrangement, and about the question of freedom: should we stay or should we leave? Politics has an impact on the private lives of families and can sometimes destroy families. Ricarda Junge makes this quite clear in her novel.
