Batya Gur (1947-2005) was an Israeli writer known for her detective fiction. She began her writing career in 1988 with The Saturday Morning Murder featuring detective Michael Ohayon. She would go on to write six books in the Michael Ohayon series in total, each book examines a murder within a particular insular community.
