Jack Higgins (a pseudonym for the British novelist Harry Patterson, b. 1929) is one of the most popular English authors of thrillers and espionage novels. His breakthrough book, The Eagle Has Landed, numbers among more than 60 books by Higgins that have collectively sold more than 250 million copies — many featuring the brash young antihero Sean Dillon. Before beginning his writing career, Higgins served in the British Army along the East German border. He lives in the Channel Islands.
