Jasper Fforde is the author of the witty Detective Thursday Next series of mystery novels, which are noted for their literary allusions, sparkling wordplay, and thrilling plots. Fforde has also written the Shades of Grey series, the Nursery Crimes series, and the young-adult series The Chronicles of Kazam. Some of his most popular books are The Eyre Affair (the first book in the Thursday Next Series), The Last Dragonslayer (the first book in the Kazam series), and The Big Over Easy (the first book in the Nursery Crimes series). He lives and works in Wales.
