A journalist for more than twenty years, Laura Lippman is the author of psychologically complex, multilayered suspense novels as well as a mystery series starring the scrappy private investigator, Tess Monaghan. Her work has been awarded the Edgar, Anthony, Agatha, Shamus, Nero Wolfe, Gumshoe, and Barry awards. Some of her most popular titles include Wilde Lake, What the Dead Know, and Baltimore Blues. Lippman lives in Baltimore and New Orleans with her family.
