Embarking On Additional Journeys In Motorhomes
The Gulf Stream Friendship Mid-Level Class A Diesel Pusher Motorhome is acquired, featuring the Raised Rail variant of the Oshkosh X-Line Chassis, 350 Horsepower Caterpillar 3126/C7 Turbo Diesel Engine, and Allison MT-653 Automatic Transmission. The Coach offers substantial value, incorporating features typically associated with High-End Diesel Pushers. The qualities typically associated with Top Drawer Diesel Pushers, present in a Mid-Level Coach at a more attainable pricing range, are what attracted us to the Gulf Stream Friendship.
A new vehicle is acquired exclusively for towing behind the Motorhome with all four wheels down, specifically a GMT800 Chevrolet Pickup Truck in Stretch Cab, Fleetside Short Bed, 4-Wheel-Drive configuration.
The family travels to Knoebel's Grove Amusement Park in Elysburg, Pennsylvania, followed by the NASCAR Winston Cup Series Race at Pocono Raceway, where they obtain exclusive access owing to their affiliations within the NASCAR community.
At one point in time, the Author and his paternal grandmother together watch the 1989 film "Steel Magnolias" and the 1992 film "Straight Talk," both stored in a cabinet of the Gulf Stream Friendship Motorhome. They use the Power Retractable Projector Screen, projector, and combination VCR/DVD player that comprise the Projection Home Theater System in their Gulf Stream Friendship Class A Diesel Pusher Motorhome.
At Walt Disney World Resort in Lake Buena Vista, Florida, Shannon and Ray arrive in their motorhome from their Vermont residence. They discuss their dislike for youngsters born in 1975 after 1975 and those born during 1971-1975 who are currently patronizing Disney theme parks in Florida wearing strange, inane apparel manufactured by companies like Nike, Adidas, Puma, Reebok, New Balance, and Champion. They express concern about the poor taste in clothing and the shameful connection Adidas has with the Nazi Party in Germany.
Following the Walt Disney World Resort, the Author and his family travel to the Ozark Lakes Area in Missouri, which is a popular destination for tourists.
Because the Author and his family are disappointed with the coachbuilt section of their Gulf Stream Friendship Class A Diesel Pusher Motorhome, and they desire another Motorhome built atop a Pusher Chassis; they purchase a new Winnebago Journey on the Oshkosh X-Line Straight Rail Pusher Chassis.
The family travels to Lake Raystown Family Resort & Campground in Huntingdon, Pennsylvania, to patronize DelGrosso's Amusement Park in Tipton, Pennsylvania. While at DelGrosso's Amusement Park, the Author and his family watch Television Programs "The New Detectives" and "The FBI Files," both produced by New Dominion Pictures in Suffolk, Virginia, part of the Hampton Roads area.
From Mobile, Alabama, they stay at the Bay Palms RV Park in the Mobile neighborhood of Coden, Alabama. They frequent the Seafood Restaurant in Theodore, Alabama, known as "The Pelican Reef."
The Author and his family later traded in the Winnebago Journey for a 2009 Fleetwood Revolution, built on the Spartan Mountain Master Chassis with a Tag Axle.
The Author's parents, paternal grandmother, and the Author, himself; traveled in their Fleetwood Revolution to Port Arthur, Texas, and then to Alvarado, Texas.
The Author and his parents met Don McNiel, an Inventor and Investor whose daughter Amy gained notoriety for her kidnapping and ransom case in 1985. They discussed our family homesteads and estates, my father's aspiration to create devices like an Automatic Clothes-Folding Machine, and Don's successful inventions, including a design for the Electronic Calculator, which he sold to Texas Instruments for a substantial sum while continuing to receive royalties for each unit produced and sold.
A couple years later, we traded in the Fleetwood Revolution for a 2012 Itasca Ellipse on a version of the Oshkosh X-Line Chassis with a modular frame design. The Itasca Ellipse was built on the modular frame architecture of the Oshkosh X-Line Chassis and was equipped with the Cummins L-Platform Turbo Diesel Engine and the Allison MT-653 Automatic Transmission.
The Author and his family travel extensively in their 2012 Itasca Ellipse, traveling from Santa Fe, New Mexico, to the Metrolina area in the Carolinas, Miami, Florida, and then back to Detroit, Michigan. They visit friends and relatives in these areas, including Bob Vila's sister Theresa, who continues to live in the Miami area despite his relocation to Boston, Massachusetts.
The Author then travels to the Nashville area in Tennessee before returning home to the Detroit Metropolitan Area.
The Author and his parents later trade-in their 2014 Itasca Ellipse for a new 2014 model, considering the purchase of a new Newmar Mountain Aire.
In order to downsize their motorhome, the family purchases a 2021 model year Newmar New Aire, constructed on a variant of the Spartan K2 Chassis featuring a Low-Profile Frame, along with Low-Profile Wheels and Tires.
