Morse Code Memories and Musings: Five Tales in Morse Code
Morse Code Memories and Musings: Five Tales in Morse Code is the second book of my Morse Code series, following on the modest success of Morse Code Mysteries and Missives: Three Tales in Morse Code. Like that book, the purpose of this book is not to teach you Morse Code; it is to let those who have basic coding skills and experience with Morse Code practice on something more interesting than short phrases, kid's books, and dry practice manuals. It can also be great fun for fans of puzzles and cryptography. Please note that I am aware that many afficionados of Morse Code, especially in the CW and ham radio communities find printed Morse Code to be "an abomination," but rest assured that an audibook version of this tome is already available, so those of you who prefer to listen to the dits and dahs of transmitted Morse Code can experience that version of this undertaking. And, like the audio version of the previous book in this series, the transmission speed will be adjustable on most devices from half to twice the default speed.
Morse Code Memories and Musings includes five non-fiction stories I wrote which are either auto-biographical memoirs or musings about the universe. The stories included are:
"Present and Promise," an autobiographical tale about time travel;
"Tree of Enlightenment," an autobiographical coming of age tale;
"Story Choices—Quantum Storytelling," a musing on the nature of writing and the nature of the universe;
"Crispy Crumbly Makes Me Mumbly," an ode to bacon; and
"Consequences of Inconsequential Words," musings about dreams, work, reality, and consequential choices.
About the author:
Author of the Dick Thornby Thriller series (Net Impact, Wet Work, and Flash Drive), a series of spy thrillers which incorporate real-world conspiracy theories, GREENSWORD, a dark comedy about global warming, Forced Conversion, a military science fiction novel set in the near future, and Frame Shop, a mystery thriller set in a suburban writers' group, Co-author of The Love-Haight Case Files, Books 1 and 2, paranormal legal thrillers about lawyers protecting the rights of supernatural creatures in a magic-filled San Francisco.
