Every 11 years during each of these cycles, there are various changes in appearance and activity that take place in the sun. The levels of solar radiation vary, as well as how much material is ejected by the sun into space and the number of and size of the solar flares and sunspots on the sun. These changes do not just affect space but Earth's surface and atmosphere too. We are currently experiencing the sun's 25th solar cycle which began in December 2019. This book gives a brief explanation of solar cycles and describes how solar cycles impact our planet.
