The QFD Book, 2nd Edition
Is your company faced with the strategic issue of introducing a new product or service that may be critical to its survival? Suppose there was a methodology that could tell you the potential success of your options before you tried them. Suppose this methodology could also help you reduce design-to-introduction time by 30 percent while improving quality and lowering overall costs. Interested?

No, it isn't a crystal ball. It is a proven Japanese business methodology called Quality Function Deployment, or QFD.

The authors of this book have conducted over 400 QFD sessions. We've helped software, aerospace, automotive, manufacturing, and service companies use QFD to solve customer-related problems and design and develop new products and services. From their experience using QFD, they have realized its power and have expanded its application to developing and resolving corporate strategic issues. As a series of questions and matrices, QFD is an excellent process for strategic planning and continuous improvement.

QFD has been largely ignored by upper management and nontechnical groups in U.S. business because it's considered too complex. However, in this book, the authors have developed a QFD method that is simpler and easier to use. It has been extensively field-tested and employees from all levels of an organization learn it quickly and use it successfully. The QFD Book 2nd Edition will share this methodology with you—so you can take it with you into the boardroom. After using QFD to solve one problem, you'll want to make it a permanent part of your business.
