From the very beginning Stephanie loved to create characters. The youngest of six, a pleasant surprise as her mother liked to call her, she grew up basically as an only child with her closest sibling nine years her senior. But she had no problem entertaining herself. It all started with an imaginary friend named Gigi.

As she got older her imaginary friend grew into all different types of characters, each of whom had his or her own story to tell. By the time she was 12, she began writing those stories down, and after 206 handwritten pages, she had completed her first science fiction/fantasy novel.

Then came a pivotal moment when she read Kathleen Woodiwiss's Shanna. Once she discovered romance there was no going back. A dedicated reader, she quickly began writing her own romantic stories, some funny, some adventurous, but all delivering the quintessential happy ending.

At 18 she submitted her first story to Harlequin and by 26 she was published.

Now in her 30s, she struggles between the demands of her "day" job, her writing, and trying to find a little romance of her own.

She lives in South Jersey with her two cats, Alexandria Hamilton and Theodora Roosevelt. She wants to get a dog, but the cats have out-voted her.

And she spends every free minute she has doing the thing she loves best--writing!
