About the Author

Alan Cumyn began writing poetry and short stories in high school. Today, he is the award-winning author of novels for adults and young adults, two of which won the Ottawa Book Award. His books have been shortlisted for the Governor General’s Award, the Giller Prize, and the Trillium Award. In 2016, he received the Writers’ Trust of Canada’s Vicky Metcalfe Award for body of work for young people. Alan lives in Ottawa and teaches writing with the Vermont College of Fine Arts.
