Colony
It is the year 2085. In an effort to relieve a heavily distressed and overcrowded prison system on earth, mankind has constructed its first lunar-based penal colony, ISO ONE. Free of guards and wardens, the prison population is monitored from earth only by an all-seeing video surveillance system. Safely away from the populace on earth, the prisoners are free to live out the remainder of their existences under their own rules. Their only remaining contacts with the earth are the periodic shuttle launches that bring food, water and medical supplies. An expansive, and expensive, incarceration facility, ISO ONE has become the new home for 300 of the most savage, ruthless criminals to have once walked the earth.
Or has it?
Something inexplicable has happened within the stellar solitude of ISO ONE. Its entire population of recently relocated inmates has disappeared, seemingly without a trace. No airlock seals have been broken, all supply shuttles have been safely accounted for on earth and the watchful electric eyes have recorded nothing out of the ordinary─ other than a 15 second long burst of static preceding the inmates' disappearances.
Enter officers Brenda Givens, Antonio Morales and Layne Bandie. Together, these three will travel to ISO ONE to investigate the mysterious disappearances.
Dark secrets await the trio, however, as they soon discover a sinister betrayal by the very powers who have sent them into the icy expanses of space and to the equally unforgiving moon. Worse yet, the three explorers will come face to face with an indescribable evil as ancient as time itself. An evil that knows the trio as well as they know themselves…
It is sentient force of chaos that knows and exploits their deepest fears, their buried secrets, their darkest sins… A force intent on escorting each of them to their own private hells…
It is an evil that watches all of us─ longs for all of us─ from the cold blackness of space…
Hell is not below. It is above, and it is hungry.
