Christina M. Brown was born and raised in the small town of Berkeley, California on April 29, 1967. She began writing at the age of 7, not realizing then that her gift of poetry would lead to sharing her story with others; to heal lives. In her twenties, she began journaling her lessons & experiences.

Christina was affectionately known by her kindergarten teacher, Ms. Kinney, as a "day dreamer", so it wasn't unusual that her head remained in the clouds. She always dreamt big and aspired to become someone special in the entertainment industry. During various stages in her life and trying to find her place in the world, Christina desired to become a songwriter, model, singer, actress and more. Although they were different in contrast, ultimately she would find her way to her destiny through life's many pains, heartaches and despair; poetry.

As a member of her church choir, unknowingly to her peers, she began writing gospel songs and it was during this time writing would become her outlet and niche. She is emotional, passionate, and quite unique in her delivery of what has been expressed by her fans to be an "ethereal experience" of soft spoken word.

Her life and surviving tragedy, she proclaims, is the purpose of her decision to begin writing "memoirs".Today, she is known to her many friends and fans of her poetry as "I.S.I.S | The Goddess of Poetry". The meaning of I.S.I.S is "I Speak In Softness"; a self coined stage name. She has found it her mission and purpose to write and perform poetry and lyrics to heal the world. These "Memoirs in the Making" will take you on a journey; describing her past, present, and future through poetry & short stories. Some of her poems was originally written as lyrics, hence the title, "Poetry2Lyrics".

Her poems and lyrical poetry is multi-dimensional and comes straight from her heart & soul. There is no particular topic she will or will not write for as she is truly an eclectic and unique poetess. Christina is versatile, finds enjoyment and has a true love for her craft touching on topics such as love and life.
