Jaydee's Promise
Jaydee Plumtree was born and brought up in the tiny Northwest Georgia hamlet of Spraigville. While working as a clerk in a chain drug store, he met and instantly fell in love with Heidi, a ravishing pharmacy intern. On their first date, due to unusual circumstances, they ended up in bed during which time Heidi became pregnant. She was brutally murdered just days before she was due to give birth, but miraculously her baby survived. Jaydee suddenly found himself totally responsible for the child. Faced with nearly impossible odds including his barely adequate salary, his dysfunctional family, and the hostile environment of his hometown, Jaydee strived to keep a promise he made to Heidi while also learning to adapt to a new culture. Through it all, Jaydee had to contend with episodes of sexual misconduct, flagrant drug abuse, depraved criminal acts, corrupt and greedy business practices, and racial and religious bigotry. Jaydee's life changing epiphany made him persevere in his unrelenting desire to keep a promise he made.
