On the Edge

This book of poems was written during the author's therapy for depression and suicidal ideation, following the murder, by her father, of the author's mother and stepfather. In a space of two years, following the murders, her mother's brother died of cancer and her grandmother died, having lost her will to live. In addition, the author had to terminate a pregnancy (23 weeks into the pregnancy), as the fetus had Osteogenesis Imperfecta, Lethal Type 2, and had no chance of surviving being born.

About the Author

I am a published writer: short stories, poems, and eleven books, so far. Was a regular contributor to children's sci fi periodical called Beyond Centauri, and a contributor to the vampire periodical called Hungur - both of which used to be published by Sam's Dot Publishing. I am listed in several annual Poet's Market, as a contributor, under Beyond Centauri.
Other magazines/anthologies I have been in or will be in: Rhysling Anthology 2020, Star*Line, The Martian Wave, The Fifth Di, Tales From a Moonlit Path, Shelter of Daylight, Frostfire Worlds, Suddenly Cows, Illumen, Mini Anthology, Aoife's Kiss, The Drabbler, Drabble Harvest, Spaceports and Spidersilk; (online), Scifaikuest, Cosmic Crime Stories, Outposts of Beyond, and Bloodbond...
There is a special edition of Frostfire Worlds called Frostfire Worlds Presents Debby Feo.
I also have 4 short stories in Nomadic Delirium Press' The Divided States of America, Volume 1, and poems in A Poet Explores the Stars.

I have written 4 historical, vampire novels and a SciFi/vampire novel (Blood On the Moon) about my vampire Gaius Domitius Tubero and his family.
My 6th Vampire book is Between Bites - the short stories and poems which take place chronologically between my 5 "Vow" Vampire novels.

I have two books in my Titan series: Saturnial School Scenes, and The Caves of Titan.

Other SciFi/Fantasy books are: Meet the Mercusons (borrowed some characters for SSS), and Stories For A Starry Night.

Most of my published books are available from Hiraeth Publishing. Many are also available as e-books (Smashwords, BookNook, Kindle, etc.).

My newest book is "Mellie: The Adventures of a Teenage Vampire.

I have self-published (with money I inherited from my mother) two poetry books in print form thru Trafford Publishing: Grandpa's Chair and On the Edge (dealing with depression, not for kids). Grandpa's Chair is also available in print form on Amazon, and Barnes & Noble.
On the Edge and Grandpa's Chair are available as e-books on Smashwords and Barnes & Noble.
The continuation of Grandpa's Chair is called Herman's Store, which is on Smashwords. Tails from the Hood (about a cat family) is also on Smashwords. Recently, I completed a 2nd follow-up to GC called Grandpa Goes to Florida (for which I am looking for a print publisher).
Several other poetry books for kids are in progress: Bee Bits, The Mokey House, and Quail Quibbles....
