As a mother I strugged with ideas on how to encourage my son to give up his pacifier. I developed the Perry Passyflyer concept as a means of helping both parents and children through this transition. I am married to a wonderful man and have a energetic and inquisitive 3 year son. We live in Glen Gardner, NJ. I am currently employed as an Associate Professor in the School of Nursing at Kean Unversity

Chapter One

Look in the mirror. Do you see what I see? A big kid, a big kid looking at me! You've grown so tall, so smart and sweet! Now there is someone I want you to meet.

Perry Passyflyer, up in the sky, Collects the pacis as he flies by, So gather your binkies; look everywhere, Under couch cushions and on your chair.

Perry came to see you once before. He left your first binky at the nursery door. You're so big now; you have a blankie and bear, And now it is time for you binkies to share.

But who is Perry Passyflyer? Do you know? A yellow airplane that flies by your window. His engine so soft says "Shhh" in the night When you're tucked in bed with your eyes shut tight.
