About the Author
Carlos M. Viana, O.M.D., C.C.N.
Born in San José, Costa Rica, Carlos grew up on Aruba. He did his graduate studies in Medical Anthropology in the U.S.A. at SUNY Albany. Professionally, he served on the staff of the Governor of New York developing legislation for alcohol and substance abuse. In the eighties Dr. Viana worked for the Mayor of New York City on the Public Health Advisory Committee.
Accepted to a medical internship by the Shanghai College of Traditional Chinese Medicine, at Lang Hau Hospital, in 1996 he became only the 238th "Westerner" to become certified as an Oriental Medical Doctor. There he specialized in Internal Medicine, Acupuncture, Pharmacology, Pediatrics and Gynecology.
Dr. Viana is a Certified Addictionologist (C.Ad.), a Certified Colon Hydro Therapist, a Fellow in Applied Clinical Nutrition, a Board Certified Clinical Nutritionist, a Certified First Aid and CPR Instructor, a member of the International Academy of Oral Medicine and Toxicology, assisting professionals in the field of Biological Dentistry and a Cell Regeneration Therapist, nominated by Dr. C. T. Smith as Medical Director for ICBR (International Clinic of Biological Regeneration) Caribbean and Latin American Division
An accomplished author and dynamic speaker, Dr. Viana has the ability to reach the public as well professional groups such as the prestigious American Academy of Anti-Aging Medicine with his message of health. (A4M), Dr. Viana is available for lecture and offers a Professional Internship in Biocompatible Medicine; a Holistic Protocol developed though his years of study and clinical experience.
