See Me
When Maddi Drake inherits an old house from her great aunt, she decides to move in and fix it up. But it seems she isn't quite alone there. Then she meets the perfect man...so she thinks. But someone in the house disagrees.

This novella combines a little mystery, a little humor, and a little romance for a quick, entertaining read.

Excerpt:

Feeling frightened now, but knowing she had to see what was down there, she turned on the lights like she had done the night before and went cautiously down the stairs. The glow was coming from the parlor again. She walked in, only to find that the glow had disappeared as it had last night. She felt uneasy in the dark, but she didn’t turn on the light switch just yet. She waited in the dark to see if anything brushed against her like it did last night. She was scared, but she wanted to find out if it was her imagination or not. Then she felt it. Not anything brushing against her this time, but something almost like a soft breath on the back of her neck. She shivered. Her first impulse was to run for the light switch. But there was also a sense of curiosity that she couldn’t deny. She was frightened and fascinated at the same time. She waited there in the darkness for something else to happen. She felt it again, that slight stirring of air at her neck that felt like someone breathing lightly on her. Suddenly, she couldn’t stand it anymore. She rushed to the light switch and flipped it on, twirling around to look at the spot where she was standing. There was no one there. She hadn’t really expected to see anything or anybody. But she knew something had happened.

She started to turn and go out of the room, but she saw something out of the corner of her eye. She turned back and faced where she had been standing earlier. There on the floor was a scrap of paper. She knew it hadn’t been there before. She cautiously walked toward the paper, and then stooped to pick it up. There on the paper were two words. See me.

About the Author

Lauralynn Elliott has always loved to write, even as a child. At one point, she became discouraged, believing she wasn't good enough, and stopped writing. But a few years ago her author friend, Zoe Winters, encouraged her to start writing again. That has made all the difference.

Lauralynn is an author of paranormal and fantasy romance books published independently in primarily electronic format. You will find everything from vampires and ghosts to elves and wizards in her novels and novellas. She enjoys putting a little bit of a different twist on some of the old ideas about our favorite fictional characters.

Lauralynn lives in the southeastern United States with her husband of "several" years. She enjoys reading, playing computer games, and spending time with friends.
