K.C. Ball lives in Seattle, Washington, a stone’s throw from the waters of Puget Sound. She became an addict of the written word as a child in Ohio and began writing fiction full-time four years ago.
<p>Snapshots from a Black Hole & Other Oddities is her first short-story collection. Her short fiction has appeared in various online and print publications, including <i>Analog, Lightspeed, Flash Fiction Online</i>, and <i>Murky Depths</i> (the award-winning British fantasy magazine) over the past three years.
<p>Her novel <i>Lifting Up Veronica</i> is being serialized online by Every Day Publishing beginning January, 2012, and is slated for print publication in May of this year.
<p>K.C. won the L. Ron Hubbard Writers of the Future award in 2009 and her award-winning story, “Coward’s Steel,” appeared in the Writers of the Future 26 anthology. She is a 2010 graduate of the Clarion West Writers Workshop and an active member of the Science Fiction & Fantasy Writers of America.
