Matthew Bauer is the founding director of Journey to Freedom Ministries, and is well known as an author, teacher, and worship leader with a passion for helping people to discover and live out their identity and calling in God's Kingdom. His life's mission is to be free so he can set others free, which came about through a dramatic healing journey and over 13 years of ministry experience.

As a speaker, Matthew inspires congregations all over the United States with messages of unity, righteous and abundant living through grace, inner-healing and wholeness, remembering God's promises, and trusting God through difficulty (among other topics). With a strong belief that healing, freedom, and the passionate pursuit of God must begin first with the leaders of our Church, if they are to spread throughout the Body, Matthew also ministers to church leaders and ministry teams, teaching on worship and leadership principals for today's Church.

As a worshipper, Matthew is a gifted pianist, guitarist, vocalist and more. He's been writing, playing, and performing music for nearly twenty years, leading others in the presence of God through his worship. Matthew also enjoys working with other worship leaders and teams to help them find new depth to their worship, establish deeper unity as a team, and grow in prophetic expression through song.
