The Soul Feaster

"There is, if you like, a battle being waged in the divide between life and death, the world as we know it and that which lies beyond. A battle, that at its heart, has mans soul as its prize. For the most part it is a war to which we are totally oblivious, but on occasion it spills over into our own experience and these forces of good and evil gain access to our world."

As her life was stolen, successful solicitor Kate Sinclair made one last gesture, pressing her hand against the wall in her own blood; she made the sign of the cross
The killing is brutal and animalistic and to Detective Sergeant David Joseph there are echoes of his own parents supposed murder/suicide. At the crime scene a painting that seemingly appears to have melted captures his attention. It transpires this is not the first unexplained death linked to that particular artist's paintings. Joseph's subsequent investigations and those he encounters, including enigmatic Swedish born artist Tybalt Kessler, force the detective to question fundamental beliefs even leading him to explore the supernatural for answers.

About the Author

Born in Portsmouth, England 1964,at an early age I enjoyed spending time in my own imagination and being creative. I can recall Horror films being an early interest-the Universal Dracula, Frankenstein movies and the Hammer horror films as well as Fu Manchu. At primary school we had a fancy dress day and I insisted going as Fu Manchu though I doubt many knew who I was.
Acting happened by accident, the school put on Dracula Spectacular-how could I resist? I played Ghengis, the grotesque man servant. I got the acting bug!
Acting, writing, photography, music, painting have all featured heavily in my growth and development. I have had the pleasure to work with Michael J Murphy, a british low budget film maker who has some cult following, acting in several films.(They are not so much released they rather escape). It was through brainstorming ideas with him for a film idea that The Soul Feaster came to me. I decided to put my imaginings down in novel form-a new challenge-but one that reminded me of my youth, suspending my disbelief and living in a world of shadows!
