Dr. S.F. Haddad is co-founder and Medical Director at the Patient Education Institute.

Dr. Haddad directs the Medical Advisory Board and the Medical Editorial Department at the Patient Education Institute. He works with a team of medical writers, instructional designers, illustrators and narrators to create X-Plain®, a suite of health education publications spanning more than 30 medical specialties. X-Plain includes more than 15,000 multimedia programs and illustrated booklets in several languages.

Dr. Haddad received his Bachelor of Science and Doctor of Medicine degrees from the American University of Beirut in 1983 and 1986, respectively. He received his neurosurgical training at the University of Iowa from 1986 to 1992. Dr. Haddad is a member of the American Board of Neurosurgery. He also serves as a member of the Alpha Omega Alpha medical honor society, American Medical Association, American Association of Neurological Surgery, Congress of Neurological Surgeons, and Indiana State Medical Association. Dr. Haddad has served as a practicing neurosurgeon at the Neurosurgical Clinic of Bloomington, Indiana, since 1992.
