About the Author

Carol Beckerman is a food writer and enthusiastic cook with more than forty years' experience. Having run the kitchen for a traditional English pub as well as catered large events and weekly neighborhood breakfast parties in the United States, now she cooks and bakes for local restaurants and runs her own Web site devoted to dairy-free cooking. She is the author of 500 Breakfast & Brunch Dishes (Sellers 2011).

Deb Wheaton has spent 40 years in the movie business, both on and off camera. in 2005 both Deb and her daughter were diagnosed with celiac disease. They also realized that Deb’s mother had died at age 62 without being properly diagnosed with the same disease. This began Deb’s crusade to raise awareness and save lives. She created the PSA “Are you the One?”, spearheaded legislation to designate May as celiac awareness month in CA and started the popular blog, Not even a crumb. She is a member of the Board of Directors of the Celiac Disease Foundation. (celiac.org) and lives in LA.
