Lives are lost.

Tom wants to do something for the remaining colonists and builds a small, inflatable and very durable habitat to fit exactly in the destroyed space. When he takes it to the lunar surface he is attacked by a mystery ship but one that announced themselves a wanting to stop the installation.

Politicians in Washington D.C. order Enterprises to cease meddling with the lunar structures. But To wants to do more and to prove the value of his inflatables. He sets his sights higher. Farther, in fact... on Mars.

Efforts to build the largest inflatable structure ever mean the help of hundreds and even taking over a couple of runways inside Enterprises walls, but it is completed and readied to go into space. Fearing sabotage or attack, a dummy is sent up and does get destroyed. The real habitat makes it to Mars and the massive amount of work to erect and populate it with the necessary equipment to make it self-sustainable required even more people.

Surprises await the young inventor as Tom strives to build and run the near impossible!

About the Author

it has been said before, "there just ain't to such thing as a" Victor Appleton II (see the Jetty Lewis movie, Visit To a Small Planet for that reference). He was a they, and they were many authors writing to spec for a publisher all using that house name. It lasted nearly 100 years and five series.

Thomas Hudson, on the other hand, is just one person who has been hammering away at the keyboard writing 15 new Tom Swift novels between late 2009 and the end of 2015. He also has written about an equal number of novella collections in the universe of the young inventor plus a trio of book sin a mini-saga co-authored with Leo Levesque. He has stories specific to Tom's mother and others dedicated to exploring his father's more intriguing and odd inventions.

His plans are to extend the series to at least 20 novels by the end of 2018 and perhaps as many as 30 total before hanging up his keys.
