Mike Damante is a freelance journalist and teacher. He lives in Houston, Texas and has covered entertainment and the sports for the Houston Chronicle, and currently writes a blog for chron.com that does band interviews, music reviews and live concert coverage. He teaches high school journalism and English as his full-time job. He graduated from the University of Houston, majoring in communication with a print journalism degree with a minor in English.
