Vicki L. Taliaferro, BSN, RN, NCSN Ms. Taliaferro is an independent School Health Consultant. She has authored many publications regarding school nursing and state and local guidelines on school health topics and initiatives. She is a speaker and a consultant to various state education, hospital and community agencies and professional organizations. Ms. Taliaferro has been the editor for School Health Alert's School Nurse Resource Manual for the last three editions. She is a consultant to the National Association of School Nurses and editor of the School Nurse Digest and the Administrator's Risk Alert electronic newsletters. Previously, she served as the State School Nurse Consultant with the Maryland State Department of Education and served as president of the National Association of State School Nurse Consultants and received their Outstanding State School Nurse Consultant award.
