Ms. Magold attended Marquette University and graduated Summa Cum Laude with a BA in English from Otterbein University, where she also earned her M.Ed. She has been awarded numerous local, state, national, and international recognitions for her writing and work in education, including curriculum development for Wynton Marsalis Enterprises and Jazz at Lincoln Center. Baby Babs grows up in Shaker Heights, an upper-class east Cleveland suburb where her Jewish father, a NASA astrophysicist, and her German Catholic mother, a NASA scientist, provide a stimulating life of intellectual inquiry, even as they grapple with a challenging affliction that strikes Babs early in life.
