Grave robbers? Dead bodies exposed and pieces removed…

Deanna has seen a lot of wild paranormal and supernatural things in New Orleans—but that.

Who would do that?

Could it be cannibals? Are these hate crimes? Mentally ill criminals? Or is it an elaborate hoax staged by Walking Dead fans?

The Day of the Dead and Halloween are a big deal in the Big Easy. Ghost and cemetery tours mean major business from tons of tourists.

When the monsters turn out to be real and the dead are being disrespected, the supernatural balance is thrown into chaos. It’s up to Deanna and friends to lock down the paranormal crazy before the veil between the living and the dead is destroyed.

I love the story line and the characters but the books need a really good editor. There are a lot of disjointed spots that jump from one moment to another without a smooth transition. The plot has a great pull and like I said, I love the story line. I just believe this would be an easier, more entertaining read if it was gone over by a good editor and kept a more flowing pace. Good book for a cozy afternoon read.

So twisty it makes spirals, inadvertent humor abounds, and fantastically quirky characters come together to make for a good read any time of the year. Cemeteries, mischief, and New Orleans always go together, but when you add in a psychic respected by local law enforcement, and the most unusual individuals sharing a house in the Garden District, you have a book that you don't want to put down!

I love Deanna Oscar’s world. She takes on Angels, demons even Death. Plus she has a world of drama from her human friends and still finds a way to protect them all. In this installment Deanna has to figure out who is robbing graves and why. She also has to deal with romantic drama among her friends and just maybe a new romantic interest for herself. Now all she has to do is survive. This is a really fun paranormal/cozy mystery series and this may be my favorite book in the series to date.
