A Down Home Feeling

In the middle of a torrid summer, Mason's world is turned upside down by squatters on his land. An ignorant head of a family, a man-boy with an unnerving stare, and an unhelpful sheriff's deputy make A Down Home Feeling a memorable read in the Southern Gothic tradition.

About the Author

My name is Harry McDonald. I live in Georgia, and started writing short stories in 2005. Most of my writings are humorous, a bit improbable, and have a Southern touch. I also have an interest in writing horror/ghost stories, and Southern Gothic, and plan to mainly publish serious stories someday. My first stories published here are A Damned Old Man, My Garden Is Bigger Than Yours, The Man in the Moon is Japanese, The Party Line, Her Big Hair Nearly Killed Me, A Feast To Die, For A Down Home Feeling, The Iron Bed, The Shadows On Maple Lane, and The Elusive Chocolate Eclair. Just 99 cents each! My style is not one of putting everything I have into the first paragraph, or even the first page. You have to read on - for they only get better as you go! I have a lot to learn about doing covers, but will keep working on it. If you have a handsome face, you can fill in for my profile picture! Thanks for reading.
