Overview

It’s the summer of 1992 and a painting by the Italian Renaissance artist, Caravaggio, is discovered in a church in Messina, Italy. Is it an original painting lost over the centuries or is it a fake? The night the painting is exhibited in Florence, there’s a car bombing involving an artist and his dealer. Who is responsible and is the bomb connected to the discovery of the painting?

About the Author

I’m a freelance writer, producing works of fiction as well as non-fiction as well as audio driving tours. I grew up in Atlanta, Georgia and am a Southerner at heart—that means that wherever I go I behave like a Southerner which means I’m genuinely gracious and nice although there are those among us who are cynical enough to believe that Southern graciousness is just a pretense, disguising darker motives. I have argued this with people born north of the Dixie line, west of the Mississippi, in bars in Holland and France, with a Danish tourist in a bus in Thailand and with a Spanish couple on a boat in the Mediterranean. Trust me, it’s genuine. And, though most people don’t think I have an accent, I do say “y’all.” Also, though I’m a Southerner born and bred, I have lived in many other parts of the world and have a deep and abiding affection for the places I’ve lived: Holland, France, Italy, California, Oregon and now back in California.
I have a masters and a doctorate in Art History, Women’s Studies and Literary Criticism from the ILA at Emory University.
