Dr. John Flores has had an amazing year, to say the least. It was just the beginning of the new relationship that emerged after John's move to Michigan. Nina showed him so much care and concern that every step of his recovery was easy, except getting to know her the way he wanted to. Far from being an ice maiden, he found out that Nina was an exciting, enticing woman and a total mystery. She had a secret that she was hiding from the entire world, especially John. Even though he was falling in love with for her, she would only let him get so close to her and no closer. There was an invisible wall around her that he had to break down in order to get to what her really wanted which was her heart. John was determined to win her love, but in order to do that, he had to win her trust, something that Nina had lost long ago. John was determined to have her and he held back nothing in his pursuit of her love. Nina couldn't resist the romantic way he swept her off her feet until she could finally admit that she loved him, too, but she was still keeping secrets from him. Her past was too painful to share and it took all of John's patience and quite a bit of his skill as a psychotherapist to get her to open up to him. Nina did open to John and during a romantic trip to Puerto Rico, she shared more of her past with him than she'd ever shared with anyone, but in the following weeks a crisis arose that sent her back to her home in Oakland, CA leaving only a terse goodbye letter that could have been put on a Post-it note. John goes after her to put their love on the line; either she can trust him with her whole heart or their relationship can't last. She is stunned that he came for her but she is still afraid that telling him the truth about her past will destroy everything. But her love for John finally gives her the strength to bare her soul and tell him all the secrets she's been carrying for so long. After John hears the true story of her life he loves her even more and he proves that love by bringing her a gift of closure that is beyond any dream she's ever had. About the Author

I've been making up stories since I was a small child. I was lucky enough to have a mother and father who both loved to read and that's where my love of books began. My first book, Lucky in Love, was published in 2001 and I haven't looked back. I began writing full-time in 2008 and I enjoy it more and more. I'm currently living in my hometown of Saginaw, Michigan, but I'll be moving to the Atlanta area in the spring. Can't wait to get away from these Michigan winters! I have family down there and I miss them, especially my three beautiful nieces. I have lots of interests, from painting, drawing and sewing to mah-jong and old movies. I'm also an avid dog fancier. My Cava-Chon, Sadie, insisted that I put that in. She rules this household with a firm sharp bark and a paw of iron. Right now I write contemporary romance with a humorous twist. My heroines are smart, articulate and focused and the heroes are the same; they have to be to keep up! I'm venturing out into the land of the supernatural soon, as well as into mysteries, but I'll never leave romance behind--they are so much fun and so fulfilling to create.
