About the Author

Laura Trentham is an award-winning author of contemporary and historical romance, including the Cottonbloom, Heart of a Hero, and Sweet Home Alabama series. She is a member of RWA, and has finaled multiple times in the Golden Heart competition. A chemical engineer by training and a lover of books by nature, she lives in South Carolina.

An award-winning author, Laura Trentham was born and raised in a small town in Tennessee. Although she loved English and reading in high school, she was convinced an English degree equated to starvation. She chose the next most logical major—Chemical Engineering—and worked in a hard hat and steel toed boots for several years.

She writes sexy, small town contemporaries and smoking hot Regency historicals. The first two books of her Falcon Football series were named Top Picks by RT Book Reviews magazine. Then He Kissed Me, a Cottonbloom novel, was named as one of Amazon’s best romances of 2016. Christmas comes to Highland, Ga., in the fun and flirty third installment to Trentham’s rom-com series (after A Highlander in a Pickup). Claire Smythe came to Highland from Scotland when her band, the Scunners, was hired to play a local festival, and is reluctant to return to the responsibility awaiting her in Scotland: on her 25th birthday, the day after Christmas, she’ll inherit shares of Glennallen Whisky, her family’s empire. She dreads being forced to participate in corporate politics, and decides to hide out in Highland, taking a job as a live-in caregiver for Ms. Meadows, an elderly widow. Though Ms. Meadows warns Claire away from their handsome neighbor, rancher Holt Pierson, Claire can’t deny her attraction to Holt, who has never been anything but kind toward Claire. But when their mutual attraction sizzles into a steamy physical relationship, Claire is reluctant to get too emotionally attached, knowing eventually she’ll have to leave and face her family’s expectations. Whiskey heiress Claire Smythe has ditched her Scottish rock band and is hiding out in Highland while caring for an elderly widow, trying to decide her next move. She's not looking for romance with a local man—and that includes hunky farm boy Holt Pierson. But Claire's prickly personality is no match for the charming and persistent Holt, who offers the bike-riding Claire plenty of lifts in his pickup truck to get to know her better.
