Overview

Lou Ella and Mama live alone since Dale (father and husband) died due to a brain tumor. When Lou Ella tells her mother she is having swimmy spells, Mama treats her with Vitamin C and zinc. But, the symptoms continue. Mama takes Lou Ella to the doctor only to be referred to the neurosurgeon who treated Dale. Lou Ella is diagnosed with the same type of tumor Dale had and given only months to live. Lou Ella believes she will join her father in heaven but worries about Mama being left alone. She pours her energies into finding Mama a future husband. Mother and daughter are determined to spend each moment left with happiness and memories.
