Clydeus Crumb is a prominent physician pushed to the end of his rope after he is robbed at gun point and left with a bruised ego. He is consumed by hate and with the help of his friends he attempts to rid the streets of the criminal element; ultimately, taking the law into his own hands, he becomes what he hates most. His patient, Detective Brad Stone, is desperately trying to salvage his marriage after a torrid affair with a co-worker; when he is assigned to investigate a string of murders, of which, he discovers that Crumb is the main suspect. Although all of the evidence points his way, Brad is reluctant to believe that Crumb is capable of being a murderer. However, when he finds his wife has been kidnapped his loyalty to Crumb subsides and their friendship is tested. In the end they will each find that the demons we struggle with the most are the ones within ourselves.

About the Author

The Authoress C.J. McCoy is a Native of Atlanta, G.A. and a loving wife and mother of three beautiful children. She developed her love for reading and writing early in life through the encouragement of teachers in her elementary school where her first short story, The Little Red Shoes won her, her first award after participating in a literary contest. A few years later suffering from circumstances out of her control, she found herself spiraling into darkness trapped in a life consumed by drugs and living in the streets as a way to escape her home life. The world had counted her out, however God has a plan for her life! After struggling with and conquering a battle with a ten year drug addiction and another ten year war to maintain her sobriety. She went on to work in the field of Dentistry as an assistant. She worked in the field for several years until she realized she was neglecting her passion and her dream of becoming an author. With the love encouragement and support of her husband, Anthony, she quit working to pursue her dream.
